Ed Hardy Fashion Show

West Coast styles have always brought a funky flair to fashion and Ed Hardy is the leading designer as of recently. Ed Hardy started off as a tattoo artist who's unique drawings and designs were transfered to t-shirts and now has an entire line. His bold graphics and colourful use of patterns are the perfect combination of luxury sportswear.

Spring/summer trend

I know ballet flats have been a footwear staple item in wardrobes for about two years now... , however they will be a necessity this spring/summer. Sky-high platforms, wooden wedges, and delicate ballet flats will be playing merry-go round on your little toesies this summer. Among my favourites are->

1. Steve Madden, Picara Patent Leather baby-pink ballet
2. Mui Mui black canvas ankle-wrap ballet flat
3. Scoop quilted leather black ballet flat
4. Dolce & Gabbana metallic ballet flat

Chanel 2007 fall/winter

Balanciaga fall/winter 2007

Paris trend: College girl street-chic

One of the common themes emerging from Paris fall/winter 2007 fashion week collections is bringing back ready-to-wear pieces. Both Balanciaga and Chanel's collections consisted of large knit-scarfs, fitted detailed blazers embellished with pathes or simple with tweed as well lots of layering. A relaxed, casual look for any young woman yet versatile.. just add sky hgh platform pumps and your practically evening ready.

Alexander McQueen 2007 fall/winter

McQueen's collection was inspired from a piece of information from his family tree.. one of his relatives in the 1690's was tried and hung in the salem witch trials. His gothic, vampy feel in this collection can be felt through his use of knee-high leather boots, leather tight pants, hooded sweaters and the general dark ambience. While the models walked eerie videos of decaying skills, naked women, and blood causing a distraction from the actual clothes. Despite the overall scary atmosphere, he did create a spectacle and as always memorable pieces.

Glamour at Valentino fall/winter 2007

Valentino's fur sleeves, tweed suits, ruffled blouses and gorgeous ball gowns were iconic of a 1940's old hollywood film starlette. The collection was elegant and feminine, including everything from footwear to make-up and hair. This has been one of my favourite fall/winter shows this month, he can put women on a pedestal for all to admire and worship through his brilliant use of fabric and a sewing machine, a skill that only a man who's been around the industry long enough can perfect.
